Honda Fit 2011

Hello
I am new here. I own a Honda Fit 2011. Ge8 first edition.
I have come to realize how many pig headed people work in just about all mechanics shops or related, especially in relation to any fit.
They really have nothing positive to say about it here in SoCal.
Never mention souping this car up to them. Cardinal sin.
In any case I browsed through some of the threads here about converting from automatic to stick and it was the same backfire attitude. Very superstitious and backward attitude. But if you ask, it is what I'm interested in now.
Bought it used. Auto was the only thing in stock.

Not sure how to approach

Is that how it works? Would I put the gl in for my ge8?
I was thinking of calling the junk yard to see if I could buy the parts from them.

Thanks for replying.😋
