Looks Like you're Stuck with Me

A couple of months ago I joined this forum looking for resources to help me decide which car to buy. I was considering a few different vehicles, but last weekend I drove home my beautiful, new-to-me 2011 Fit LX MT. It's a legit low-km gem in near mint condition with <28,000km on the odometer and a pristine carfax report! So it looks like I'll be lurking here at FitFreak for the foreseeable future. Thanks to all of the FitFreak members whose advice helped me make a wise purchasing decision. I look forward to picking your brains even more in the future.

I really liked my 2010. Great vehicle.
Looking at that picture. The water is sheeting not beading on most of the hood, which would suggest to me that perhaps it hasn't seen a coat of wax in a while. Besides that looks great.

water sheeting does not look like that. more like no water repelling look. but you’re right that it can use a good coat of wax or sealant soon.

100% accurate observations. It has been sitting for quite some time. The exterior has grime and lichen in all the little nooks and there were a few leaves under the hood, even a few cobwebs in the interior lol. Just waiting for a good day to give it a thorough wash and wax. It's been piss raining here in Vancouver for days now with no end in sight.

Now that I'm doing a thorough clean of the interior I'm finding some light scratches here and there, so maybe "near-mint" was an overstatement, but it's still in phenomenal shape for its age. Plus now I don't have to worry about putting the first marks on it.

Yeah the color was a matter of luck... I was going to wind up with whatever had the right combination of mileage and condition. Took me two months to find this one, and I had to make a trip to Vancouver Island just to get it, so there was no way I'd walk away from it even if it was celestial blue like my grandad's car... My first choice would've been orange revolution metallic but I think vortex blue pearl is really nice and I'm quite happy with it. Only catch is I have to relearn stick driving but I seem to be getting the hang of it.
