Anyone do a big system in their fit?
I want to see some other systems in fits, here's a few pics of mine

Looks like a nice installation. Big car audio systems aren't really something I'm much into, but I certainly have nothing against those who enjoy such pursuits.
Please enclose that positive bus bar with an insulating enclosure of some sort before someone accidentally drops a wrench or something to short it out...or, God forbid, you're in a serious accident and something conductive finds its way there. What you have now is a pretty looking potential fire hazard. |
Lol, it would have to arc across both the positive and negative to cause an issue, just touching the positive bar isn't going to do anything, how would I have bolted it down? Also for safety's sake, it's fused behind the front battery, before the back batteries and between batteries and amp

It would naturally have to touch the positive bus bar and something grounded, be that the negative bus bar or some metal part of the vehicle, to short things out. I will grant that there isn't a whole lot of metal in the Fit's interior, but the negative bus bar is quite close and exposed. Maybe I should have been more specific, "short it out to ground," but it seemed rather obvious at least to me what I meant.
Many times things I say and write are more obvious and clear to me than they are to other people! |
