Steering radio controls, aftermarket system ?

Hi guys, new here. so next week im getting a ge6 japan import.

It has a double din system with gps etc (in japanese language) with screen and oem rear camera but i noticed the controls on the steering dont work.

is there a way I can make them work or it seems its not a factory stereo system and cannot be connected?

thanks!

there are modules you can buy such as the metra aswc to make the steering wheel controls. what brand aftermarket head unit is it? if its the oem navi, then its a different story.
