Bump! I was at a drive in movie theater and people started getting upset that my headlights would not turn off. I tried to explain they were DRLs but the people out in the middle of the country didn't understand the concept because none of the cars they drive have em. Is there a way I could have turned them off? I needed to keep the engine running to keep our little motorcycle battery from going dead. Its one of the drive-ins that broadcast on a fm channel.

If your battery goes dead from a few hours of using the radio, you have an electrical problem. I would be mad too if I was at a drive in and someone had his lights on!

I'm glad my 08 didn't come with this feature.
More painful then useful. My last car came with this feature but I was lucky someone figure out how to disable it. |
Today I learned that If you keep the E-brake engaged when you start the car - the DRL's will not come on until you release the E-brake. That would have helped out alot. I feel a bit stupid.

Pull fuse # 15 - no DRL's. One of the first things I did.

DLR noise (buzz)
back from the dead!!! i installed the h4 high/low kit off my 07 fit onto my 2010 fit sport w/nav and even after pulling fuse 15 i get a buzzing noise up by the headlight (still need to track down exactly where its coming from) - has anyone run into this? the noise is only if the headlights are off, as soon as i turn them on the noise goes away. o i did a search and can't find anyone talking about any type of noise. so i figured i'd post here before making a new thread ?????? |
maybe it's the hid ballast?
