hid low/high beam Hid fogs
 

about to order some xenon hid fogs and hid headlights and hear taht they keep breaking or people ALWAYS seem to be having problems with them..

any other brands people can reconmend with a good quality price range??

also been thinking about just getting piaa light bulbs for my fogs.. recommened??
or not bright enough and does not have the genuine yellow fog look? need opinions :] please and thank you :wavey:

I've installed HID conversion kits in my cars/trucks since 2006 and I have not had any problems except normal wear. I had it on my 99 Envoy fog lights and water got in. The bulb just burned out. But please make sure that you install relay circuit. I just installed H4 HID kit in my 2009 Honda FIT. It maintain Hi/Lo as well as DRL. I am happy with it.

I am not an expert in HID. However, I will explain from my experience.
The concept/fundamental of HID is the same. The different will be the type of bulbs. 2009 Honda Fit headlight bulbs are 9003/HB2. 9003/HB2 bulb has 2 filaments, Hi/Lo. Some HB2 HID kit will maintain only Low beam and lost high beam and DRL (Xenon HID). Some HB2 HID will have HID as low beam and filament as high beam. This type of kit will maintain Hi/Lo and DRL. Next, Bi-Xenon HID kit will maintain Hi/Lo and DRL as HID. I would recommend buying slim ballast with BiXenon.

The one on my FIT is BiXenon with slim ballasts. The kit comes with relay harness. Please free free to ask and I will try to explain in lemon terms as I can.

I bought Bi-Xenon HID kit for $115 and H11 HID kit for $62 on eBay. They are PnP. However, you have to trim weather seal behind HB2 bulbs for HB2 HID kit to fit. No cutting.

if i am wanting yellow fogs for the bottom, can i just the like 3000k bi-xenon hid kit or does it not go that low? and i dont really understand what that last sentence you said.. : /

no you cant get 3000k bixenons, i have 6000k bixenons on my headlights and 3000k hid fogs and they work the best for being able to see the best, i get all my hids from this whole saler on ebay, they are amazing quality and they are the same as everyone else, id highly suggest getting them from them plus there only like 78 bucks shipped for bixenons and like 54 shipped for regular h11 bulbs, heres where i get them from here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H4-90...Q5fAccessories

I highly recommend PIAA 3000k HALOGEN bulbs for the foglights. Putting HID in the foglights actually produce more glare since they aim slightly up compared to headlights which aim slightly down. The halogen bulb will not fail on you like the crappy pnp HID kits will. Heres a picture of my car with PIAA yellow in the foglights. They are very bright as you can see and do not blind oncoming traffic since the waves coming off of a halogen bulb react different than a xenon bulb, which the reflector housing is designed to work with.

really diggen the piaa but like i like a more STRONG bright yellow instead of such a dark yellow. and is your hid's 6000k?

As you can tell by the second picture I'm not running a reflector housing headlight like the stock Fit's. I'm not using a cheap crappy plug and play kit. I'm using FX35 projectors and OEM 4300k phillips bulb. I care more about performance than having my headlight housings look blue, blinding oncoming drivers, and lighting up the trees above me.

i have HID 5000k headlights + foglights and i also use the yellow film over my foglights to make that yellow. It really is bright but i aimmed them down just enough so it doesnt blind other drivers. Same thing goes for my headlights too. So far i havent had any complaints about my lights at all. I had the yellow piaa bulbs but they kept on blowing on me so i decided to get the HID fogs instead of spending dollars after dollars after dollars.

as you can see the led's are mounted, how do you suppose he mounted them down?? Glue? or what??

They could be glued or drilled down into the housing. That would require you to bake your headlights, pull them apart and put the LED strips inside. Then re-seal them. Its a pretty tedious job...

Nice car, man. Where did you get split front spoilers?

I like the LED at the bottom. I would glue the LED strips instead of taking headlights apart and putting them back. A lot of things could go wrong if you baked. Additional, if you glue, you can return to stock headlights as a breeze. Just my opinion and how I did to my Civic Si.
