I don't think you can do that unless you use dual filament bulbs (as taillights/brake lights in GM cars/trucks) instead of stock bulbs. Then one filament is DRL and another one is turn signal. You keep turn signal circuit as it is. Another filament connect to main ignition switch. It will always on when your car is running. I did no suggest to connect to DRL circuit since it will be off when you turn on the headlights.

I have not done it but if I had to do it, this was what I would do.

i have eg civic front dual filiment bulbs in my turns - i wanted to have mine on bright all thetime (like a corvette) and blink off when blinking was needed -the problem is the housing would melt from the heat so i have them hooked up with the lights at night to be on low and then blink bright when needed
i am looking into LED front turns for an EG so i can swap this and keep them on bright all the time as LED's don't get hot like regular bulbs do
when i get around to it i will post pics here - someone else can befor me if you've done it!!!

here is a pic that kinda shows where i'm at now

i used double filament socket for my turn signals w/ switchback bulb. i connected it to my parking light so it stays on (white) when i turn on parking, then white turns off and flashes amber while turn signal on.

It's possible.

You'll need some relays though. Essentially, you'll be tying the parking light wires to the turn signals, attach that the the relay along with the original turn signal wire so that when you are using your signals, it will turn off and on instead of from off and on.

This may be a bit confusing because I'm on my mobile device. If I ever do this, I'll write up a DIY but if you want more specifics, pm me.

Heat won't be a problem with the turn signal light on constantly. I assure you the heat of the headlight bulb trumps that of the turn signal light even directly in front of the turn signal reflector itself.
