anybody use 3000k for low beams? yes i searched
 

hey guys, i have 2500k's for the fogs, and while everybody seems to want as white as possible and get away from the normal 3700k or whatever stock halogens are, why not go all yellow. Yes, you have to only project white and amber from the front of the car, but do you guys think having 3000k's would be trouble? I figure 3000k wouldn't be as yellow as 2500k and stock isn't white to begin with... I really like the contrast i get from my fogs.

I don't know... anybody consider this? Any big obvious reasons not to?

Im pretty sure you will have issues with police with the yellow headlights and even though the yellow light is great for fog and bad weather it will not give you as much light as your stock headlights or the 4300K OEM HID range.

I've got 3k in my fogs, I'm not really even that big a fan of them there. I wish they had offered 2500 where I had gotten mine. By the time the 3k light up, they almost throw a green out. I would stick around the 4300 mark. I have 5k as my low beams, nice throw for distance and clarity.

3000k isn't going to be that great unless you're driving in snow, fog, or rain all day, everyday. Stay around the 4300k if you want to be able to see well in all conditions.

I personally prefer the 5000k like Justin, but all my driving is city/highway in clear weather condition (never snows, rarely have fog, and I take a different vehicle when it rains).

the police will issue a ticket if they catch you with pure yellow color halogen headlights
I got yellow fog bulbs but its not bright enough
I hardly turn them on, maybe the most is 3 times a year
I am considering putting some white color fog bulbs so it will work as an extra set of headlights to make it more visible at night.
I had HID before but I took it out
don't want to blind the opposite drivers
