Chrome Headlight Surrounds/Bezels

I just purchased a 2013 Raspberry Blue Metallic Fit Sport. I have always been dying for one and am rapidly falling in love with it.

The new Fit headlights have blacked out surrounds instead of the chrome they used to have, probably because so many Fit Freaks were demanding the look. Just because I am an iconoclast, I want to split the difference with chrome bezels surrounding the headlights and turn signals, leaving the rest black (jnessel something or other did something similar).

Is there any way I can just get the chrome trim for the areas I'm interested in without replacing the entire assembly? Is there anyone who is doing a headlight retrofit interested in selling just your trim? I know, strange question, but I'm exploring my options here.

Here is a link to his very slick retrofit to give you an idea of what I'm trying to go for. I don't think I would bake the reflectors surrounding the headlights like he did, but the chrome bezels make for a sharp and unique contrast to the black surround.

Examples of the Effect I Am Seeking

Here are a couple of photo examples, the former being my preference in terms of aesthetic:

The latter is close, but the former shows a much deeper contrast between the chrome bezel/surround of the headlights while the latter extends into the parking lights. I'm not definitely opposed to the second look, the yellow Fit, but I really like jnesselroad's setup in only highlighting the headlights, and I think something similar would look really sharp on my 2013 Raspberry Blue Fit Sport.

New Post Bump

So nobody has a recommendation for chrome headlight inserts? :(

Your best bet is to go to a junkyard, find a relatively new Fit (with chrome trim) and buy the headlight from them.

then take the trim out and paint the rear portion black. Or get black and paint the front chrome/silver.

Unless some aftermarket company decides to do it... you won't be able to get it with dual colors, since it's one piece trim.

Look! It's my car! I did the retrofit and painted it myself. You won't find chrome overlay anywhere unfortunately. Look for a crappy set of used sport headlights from someone with broken tabs or meled lenses from when they melted their lights trying to retro. I think there are a pair or two in the for sale section now. Then you'll have to bake both sets open and swap out the front plastic piece. The chrome is screwed into the lens. You'll still have to mask and paint the rest black. Tas your only option unfortunately.

Or buy mine. But I'll charge you way too much. Ha

I still want to buy yours, against all rationality. Quote a price and send it to me PM (can't handle the loss of my dignity by exposing what I'm willing to pay).

Seriously. Your headlights are the absolute tits compared to any other headlight designs I have seen. Accept no substitute. :)
