Headlight suggestions
Hey guys, Canadian 2015 EX here. Last night while driving on the highway I found my high beams were terrible. Just not bright enough at all. Hell the road looked dim at best.
Does anyone have any suggestions on brands and models that I could order that would be a noticeable improvement?
Thanks!

I wonder if they're legal in Canada.

I would assume so, though it might be cheaper to import from Powerbulbs @ £25 - 25% offer inc free delivery. Taken from Amazon.ca

Did you check the obvious things first, like whether the lens was clean of dirt and salt residue? That can make a huge difference.
With properly adjusted headlights, the road directly in front of you (and particularly the area close to the car) should not look particularly bright. You really want more to see things in or on the road that are a good spell ahead of you. It's easy to get the impression that lights that brilliantly illuminate the immediate surroundings are very bright and good, but they don't help you actually see the things you need to see as effectively whilst driving.

I own a jeep as well and a Mazda and they both put my fits high beams to shame. They seem to be properly adjusted as road signs illuminate, but it's too low for my comfort.

I fitted these to my Jazz. MUCH better light quality, fantastic colour, better illumination of the road ahead, great low beam cut off, worth every penny (or cent in your case)
Fully street legal too (in the UK as least)

I've been running these for a while too and ordered from Powerbulbs as well. I recommend them over some of the other bulbs out there on the market.

I got them last week. Haven't installed them yet as I can't find a YouTube video showing me how Lolol

You can do it the old fashioned way and look up how to change the headlight bulb in the owner's manual, you know.

Ok so I tried, I failed. I can get the power connector off, but I can't get the grey cover off after that. Anyone got any tips or a video link? Do they just pull out? Twist? Pinch? I couldn't get mine to budge and feel like a total dumbass.

Halogens lose a significant amount of their light as they age, they need changed long before they burn out.
I find the Osram bulbs available through my local parts shop are way cheaper last longer and are just as bright as the Phillips. I buy them with the standard low beam wattage and an upgraded high beam. If I recall the standard bulb is like 55/65 watts and the higher high beam are 55/90.
