shift knob help

i tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. i just installed a blox knob along with the skunk2 adapter recently but problem is the knob doesn't align correctly after screwing it all the way on. Any suggestions?

paper?

I have no idea what a blox knob is. Not my concern! Some posters have used pieces of paper as shims in the bottom of the knobs hole. You're making the hole shallower by trial and error. I bought a Honda Fit 09 accessory knob

and it lines up perfectly but that cost me quite a bit ($70 shipped).

Just try peices of paper as shims. If you need smaller shims, believe it or not, at the machine shop where I used to work they would use rolling papers as shims when grinding. They're much thinner than regular paper. If you smoke pot fine, if not, fine again, the papers cost $3 at most. Find something of the right thickness to stick down the hole! You're making the hole shallower. IMPROVISE!!! It's what modding is all about!

Did the blox shift knob come with a nut? If so, screw the nut on first then the shift knob. Align the shift knob where you want it and screw the nut into the shift knob to jam/lock it into place.

It should have came with a locking nut since the shift knob is no different from a hype-r knock off, skunk2, mfactory, and what not....

dagul- the knob did come with a nut but it was just difficult to keep the knob in place and tight with the nut on. but i'll keep messsing with it.

I got a Blox knob and I'm not using any nut at all. I just screwed it on tight, facing the right way. Maybe my knob is lucky or something =P haha

My 09 accessory knob lined up perfect, way better than the stock one. I like to refer to my two best friends as Mister Trial and Mister Error! They're always with us!

just thought i'd throw this out there...

There's a simple looking oem shift knob for the 07-08 fit sold at hondapartssuperstore.com... If anyone's curious. :popc:
Sure, it's not Mugen, Spoon, or Blox, but it doesn't cost a fortune either. I've had mine for a while and i like it. And if you chip, scratch or ding it, it won't brake the bank to get a new one....Not that anyone would do that to their beloved shift knob of course
