Who's using the USB in the 09?
Well help me out. I have a Mac running leopard. I copied my iTunes library folder with all of my music to my flash drive. When I plugged it in and pressed AUX it said it was unsupported. What should I do?

I wish I understood what they were talking about, thanks for the link though!

The following youtube video will show you how to format your drive using Disk Utility on your Mac...just make sure select MS-DOS(FAT). Be aware that you'll loose what you currently have on your flash drive, so you'll have to recopy everything after you format.
YouTube - Disk Formatting: HFS+ or FAT32 |
Will give it a try. Thanks again for the help
|
yes, I believe you would just need to reformat the drive in FAT and recopy the songs. unfortunately I ripped mine from windows.
good luck!! |
Yeah, put the drive in the Mac, launch Disk Utility, select the thumb drive on the left side and then choose the Erase tab...from the drop down menu for volume format type pick FAT 32.
Also, if you don't use a utility to clean off invisible files you'll have an unplayable file for each song you copy wtih the Mac. |

The program I use is DetoxDisks.
Download DetoxDisks 1.0.0u Free Trial - DetoxDisks - Detox non-Mac disks by removing disposable Mac-only invisible files - Softpedia |
do you run the detox disk after you copy the itunes folder or before? The drop down menu in the disk utility said ms-dos fat, not fat32. Is this okay?

The steps... 1. Format the usb drive as FAT32 in Disk Utility...this will totally erase anything on the drive. 2. copy the songs onto the usb drive. 3. launch detox diskz and you'll see a listing of drives available. The usb drive should show up there with green text. Select it from the list and click the button to detox. It will remove all the invisible files and you'll be ready to play it in the car. |
waiting for the copying to finish now, hope it works
|
Works kind of, is there any way for it to scroll though artists? Do I need to copy it differently?
