Sub work up

Here is the work template for my re-install of my system.

I had my wife help me with the approximate placement, we both decided symmetry would look best. so I measured out everything and made my placement markings, and calculations.

The subs are Soundstream Stealth 13's with a bottom mount depth of only 2 inches. The inner depth of the box will be 3.5 inches and will give me about 0.82 sq ft of sealed airspace per subwoofer.

The idea is to flush mount everything, including the Amp and Cap for use of the cargo space without damaging the equipment.

This build will go down tomorrow, and hopefully finished over the weekend.

***the following link is for my previous build with all of the same hardware.***

Here is the work I did so far between yesterday late afternoon, and most of today.

As you can see, I have it pretty much together. I still have to seal the top side up as much as I can then work on fine tuning some of the fitment around the joints.

I quit for the day when I realized my sanding sponge wasn't gonna cut it (pun intended) and cleaned up, took the wife to a movie, and bought a Rasp on the way home to get through the shaping a little faster.

The enclosure is only 3.5 inches deep at the most, and if you look, you can see that the recessed mount for the Sub is 3/4 inch mdf. all together I still have near .7 sq ft for each sub, and should sound great.

Please post any questions/ suggestions you might have.

It looks like a good start! Just make sure you seal up the enclosure!
