Removal of rear seats

Hi All-
I drive my fit back and forth from Alaska to the Lower 48 every year, and I find that I almost always have my rear seats down. This year I'd like to fit more in the back of my car and I am wondering what it looks like with the seats removed. There are some past threads on this but none of them have pictures. I'm very curious to see what the fit looks like with the rear seats removed, and the steps needed to get the seats out. I'm also curious to find out if you can remove just the single seat, or just the double seat?
Thanks,

Emily

From what I recall, it sounds like only a few bolts to remove and takes less than 5 minutes. I would remove the rear seat (2 bolts) from my Odyssey before camping to free up several cubic feet and save 60+lbs of dead weight.

Took 6 minutes to remove both seats. 8 bolts I think. Total weight about 66 lbs. Pics:

Took longer (25 minutes?) to reinstall, get the bolts aligned and torqued and to align seat belts properly for folding modes. For a longer multi-week trip, probably worth the effort for the extra space and weight savings. Otherwise, a bit of a pain to reinstall.

The 2002 Odyssey was much easier with only 2 bolts and no alignment or seat belt issues to deal with.

What is the torque required for the rear seat bolts?

Are the bolts under those plastic, mushroom-lookin' plugs???

I've had my Fit for 6 years and no one has ever ridden in the back it is time for those seats to come out!

The bolts for the seats and seat belts are up high, under the flap shown in the pictures.
The plastic bits on the floor cover the clip that the folding legs engage with when the seats are in the normal (i.e., seating) position.
To answer one of the original questions, you can remove the seats individually. Might be useful if you want to retain the possibility for an occasional rear occupant while still gaining cargo space and reducing weight.
Removing and reinstalling the seats is very easy as long as you are able to manage the weight. With a helper to steady the seats (especially during re-installation) it would be a very easy job.
