So this wasn't in the plan for my Fit, but I kept seeing the Civic Si seat swap on Facebook. I found some locally and I picked em up at a decent price. All I can say is that these seats are super comfortable compared the the stock Fit seats. The drivers side is super easy to do! I still need to do some research on the passenger side as it is not very clear, and some of the people that have done it, are not very helpful.

I went a bit on a different route. I hit up my local wrecking yard that had a Fit and removed the seat brackets, because I wanted to leave my stock seats alone. The only thing I removed from my seat was the buckle to transfer to the SI seat. I even cut off the 3 pin connector from the Fit seat at the wrecking yard.

And here is how the 3 connectors look on the SI seat. Left to right - Seat belt, position sensor, and airbag. So technically, all you need to do is swap the seatbelt, de-pin the position sensor connector and swap the seat brackets.

I had found this plastic seat cover at the wrecking yard as well, without the hole for the seatbelt. 8th Gen Civic SI coupe and sedan seats have different plastics.

Finally had some time to install the passenger side Si seat. This one is a bit more complicated as it needs a bit more modifying, but it's not too bad as long as you have the proper tools. I did have to take my car to the dealership to get the seat calibrated as the SRS light was on when I was done with the installation. So maybe the OPDS module swap wasn't necessary but I can't be sure. Luckily I have a buddy at the Honda dealership and he did the work for me.

I removed the Si rear brackets with this 13mm socket, I just hammered it in and used my impact drill. These bolts are pressed into the seat track and I reused the nuts.

The front brackets have rivets, so you need to drill em out. I made the holes slightly bigger to use an M8 button head allen bolt. You can see the bottom hole does not align so you will need to enlarge it a bit.

The Si seat also has these bracket riveted in, you only need to remove the inner one, as it doesnt let the seat rest properly in the fit.

Youll be left with this.

Here it is complete with all brackets and seatbelt swap. I forgot to take a picture of a bracket that is also bolted on the middle from track to track. You will need to remove it as well, as it hits our duct thats on the floor.

Awesome write up. Thanks for the detailed instructions, they're a nice contribution to the community. Is it just me, or are the Si seats a little taller? Maybe just the picture.

Thank you!

They're pretty much the same height, I believe the seating area is a bit lower than the Fit, but the driver side has the height adjustment, so that's a plus.

This is awesome! Thank you for the thoughtful, detailed write up. I've been interested in this for my 2009 Fit as well. Are you going to have the Si seats reupholstered in leather like your rear seats? I was thinking about doing that after install as part of an OEM plus look.

Also that's a really cool sub idea. I was never interested in one partially because I didn't know where it could go but that BassPro Nano looks really nice and out of the way. I saw you mention using foam to reduce rattling which was smart, how did you mount it and have you had any reflections since installing and using it?

And how has the experience been for you overall since these changes? Between the sound deadening and the Civic Si seats, I bet it's a lot more comfortable with sound, bumps, roadfeel, not to mention your stability. It probably feels very different behind the wheel!

Thank you! No I am going to leave the seats alone. If anything I would like to re-upholster the rear seats to match the Si seats because the leather does looks nice, but it's too damn hot to have here in Southern CA.

To mount the speaker I used some threaded inserts. The area where I mounted you have to be very careful not to drill into the fuel filler neck, but so far it's been a few months and I am loving both the bassPro and the Si seats. I still need to add some Dynamat to the doors and floors and once I add it to those areas it will be a lot nicer to ride. The Si seats alone make it a much better driver experience.

Glove box light

I finally got some time to add the glove box light from the CR-Z to my Fit.

This is the part number, I got mine from the junkyard along with the light and harness.

Added the TPMS delete module from 9thgenee. Works perfect! Make sure to wear a glove because the space is very tight and you might get a few cuts as I did.
