Motegi Trak-lite's and homemade intake

6 Attachment(s)
Finally got around to taking pics of my new wheels.

They are:
15X6.5 Motegi Traklite
Forged-just under 10lbs a piece
+35mm offset......a little to much...they rub in the front

Tires:
General Exclaim UHP- 205-50-15
Very happy with these so far...awesome in the rain..and only $63 each

I am very happy with the look of the fit now. As you can see wheels are just about flush with the fenders.

Also I got bored and cut up 2 of my old CAI to make one for the fit.....overall pretty happy considering it was FREE.

Awesome intake!

Why is the crank case breather line connected to the intake? or is that the crank case breather line? Nice looking rims and intake!

That's the way it was hooked up to the OEM intake. So instead of putting on the little filter, he opted to route it back into the new tube.

i figured that is what the outcome was going to be as i didnt lift the hood on my car to look.... is there anything to gain by hooking it back up to the intake or is it better to have it connected to its own filter like in your thread?

There are many schools of thought on that question. That is a ventilation line that equalizes crankcase pressure. It's not part of the evaporative system.

So does it HAVE to be hooked up to the intake vacuum source? No.

Should you hook it up anyway: Maybe. There aren't any detrimental side effects if you don't, though.

Some will be adamant that is has to be hooked up like OEM. Others will not care one way or the other.

I, for one, have the little filter.

Thanks for all the props on the intake...i was very happy to....being black it kinda looks OEM. As far as the line....i just didnt have a filter laying around....its really just personal opinion.

Also im serious...any one that is looking for tires....get these generals....you will not be dissapointed for a DD tire.
