OLD school honda fit commercial (from the 80's)

so some of you may or may not know that the fit has been around since 1981 in japan. before it was called the fit, it was called the city. now the name "city" is reserved for the honda fit sedan. here is a japanese commercial from the 1980's featuring a ska band called "madness"

They kinda are like this now. The fit commercials are some of the weirdest car commercials out right now.

I like the turbo commercial. Bulldog?!?!?!?!?!

I dont see how that car is related to the Fit? Just because of the name....
The Fit and the Civic Shuttle Van are more similar.

fit_love Jan 11, 2009 03:45 PM

lmao wow that commercial is so lame

sentra92xe Jan 11, 2009 05:41 PM

The Fit is actually the evolved version of the Honda Civic Wagon...aka wagovan...they had different names (Civic Beagle, Civic Shuttle) as well as different trim models (X, RTi, RTX, 50 series)...its my favorite old skool Honda...I was gonna get one before I got the Fit but couldnt find any..in good shape at least.. :-\

eldaino Jan 12, 2009 01:33 PM

i agree with ray and others that the fit is more like the new civic wagon/hatch.

but thanks for the find kelso.

kelsodeez Jan 12, 2009 01:35 PM

eldaino Jan 12, 2009 01:35 PM

Philippine Market Honda City.

In November 2002, the fourth generation City was released and included a four-wheel drive version. The City is actually a rebadged Honda Fit, in this case a rebadged Fit Aria.
