Here's one for all those who live outside the snow belt and would like some reinforcement for their decision to stay where they are. Haha.

I can get my Fit almost that dirty. Takes a muddy road, but I can do it.
Looks great. I love when my Fit is filthy.

I drove mine through the touchless last month just to get all the salt off. I'll be bringing mine through again probably tomorrow. The ice storm a couple days ago was brutal here they must've put down thousands of tons of ice in the past couple days.

solbrothers Jan 31, 2009 07:35 PM

werd. i want to go the carwash route, but dont.

Fitcapo Jan 31, 2009 08:29 PM

No... Maybe some sticks since anything gets stuck under my car.

Cat Jan 31, 2009 09:10 PM

Same stuff here all last week ice, snow and now melting slush. I love the ice hanging off your side skirts - only in a Fit could you be dragging ice!

Cat :x

I had about 3 inches of solid snow/ice all the way down the side yesterday but I kicked it off this morning haha.

x2 I cry when I wash the car and it gets dirty the next day

Arisenfury Jan 31, 2009 10:30 PM

Same here, that's why it's still dirty. We're supposed to have the biggest snow fall to date this winter come Tuesday so I'd rather not spend the money to have it get dirty again in a couple days.

concorde Jan 31, 2009 11:03 PM

Man I feel for you guys up North! But thanks alot for sending the snow down to the South on Tuesday! Stay warm tho..

Arisenfury Jan 31, 2009 11:07 PM

I couldn't believe how far south that bad weather made it. It's been a pretty brutal winter thus far.

trancedsailor Feb 1, 2009 09:37 AM

I do not miss Jersey winters. I remember my EG got stuck in snow on several occasions -_- I'm anal about my car, it can't be dirty for more than 2 weeks.

08fithappy Feb 1, 2009 10:33 AM

Does that ruin the paint on the car?? I could not see my car geting like that i have to stay in the warm weather

Stevens24 Feb 1, 2009 11:42 AM

Because we used Mag Chloride in CO. When it snows the vehicle gets washed the next day. That stuff kills paint, and I hate my car dirty.

Arisenfury Feb 1, 2009 12:03 PM

It can if it's on there too long. What's worse is the underside, that's why most cars from up north have a less resale value than those of the south. All the salt they throw down on the road gets stuck on the underside and starts to rust the undercarriage, also any chips on the hood and such can start to rust as well if the salt gets up that high. All the car wash places here including the touthless have a row of pressure nozzles that you drive over to get all that nasty shit off.
