j's racing monocoque bar and c-pillar bar..

i read that the monocoque bar can be the rear re-bar for those using jdm bumpers. also, it stiffens up the chassis. ;)

so I can rock a JDM bumper if I get that bar? Cool. Do you feel a difference back there?

Zangoose GD3 Blue May 22, 2009 10:25 PM

ive always wonder what does this thing do...

Fitting May 22, 2009 11:27 PM

Did you get the jdm bumper?

FITGD3 May 23, 2009 01:35 AM

jS racing monocoque bar is one of the biggest waste mod I will ever touch.

js racing bar is just too thin it does nothing...purely wanna make $ from customers.

Personally I prefer Summit Racing rear bumper support bar made from lightweight alluminum and its very thick as well. Carbing rear lower bar also does the job.

enjoito May 23, 2009 04:01 AM

wait? so that bar can somewhat count as a rear crash bar?

kelsodeez May 23, 2009 04:04 AM

yep i have one on my car too. does nothing performance wise, but it gives me peace of mind to know that if i get rear ended, it wont do as much damage as without it.

enjoito May 23, 2009 04:22 AM

okay thats good to know! maybe can ghetto kind get the floating foam tube from walmart and put it over it to make something to help impact

revd34 May 23, 2009 04:42 AM

nice mod. i guess you bought something from aj-racing sale today. i did to :)

you save some weight in the rear. i really be to scared to do this upgrade. i really don't think it would do much if you got rear ended. it might work in a mph crash

junktea1 May 23, 2009 05:53 AM

Nice mod. It seems to fit perfect.

trancedsailor May 23, 2009 08:57 AM

looks better than the ugly hunk of metal that used to be there

the j's bar would crumble in a crash. it does not stiffen up the chassis.
the OEM crash bar is more solid than that.

good upgrade for JDM rear bumper though
