Damn. Just noticed I lost one of my Center caps. They were so hard to find too.

Anyone know if Honda makes a plastic one that fits the steelies? I do not want a full hubcap.

I<3MYGE8 - It is a single LED bulb in a ring of plastic tubing. I got it from KoolKev on here quite awhile ago. It was fairly easy to do and really worthwhile at night.

doane2u - thanks

Keep it up!

Great thread!

Bill,

How many miles do you have on your Fit?
Have you had any issues?
Are those seat covers difficult to install?

I am loving the mods! Very cool that you have made the car YOURS. Just bought a '12 Fit Sport and have a list of mods, but after reading your thread (for 2+ hrs) I may need to revise the list...

1) 20% Tint, Visor Tint
2) Protective Fog Light Film (Yellow)
3) Wire Mesh - Protect Radiator
4) Rear Bumper Protector
5) Floor Mats - ?????
6) SOHC Sticker - Decal Dude
7) Honda Accord Horn
8) Interior Lighting, BLUE
9) Plate/Cargo Lighting, WHITE
10) ...

I hope when I am your age I am half as cool

Thank you for taking the time to share. Looking forward to the upcoming posts

Thanks CP. Only 45,000 kms so far. No issues really. Replaced some wipers. Still have not had my first door ding. Outside of the optional mods only major expense were the snows and wheels. Now we won't discuss the nearing $4=5000 in mods. At approximately $1000 to 1500/yr an inexpensive hobby.

While the Clazzios are expensive they are worth it. Not that hard to install, just a lot of tugging to get them on. If you are in cold climate then install heated seats at the same time. Well worth it.

My grill lights started to act up. A LED in one went out and one entire light stopped working. At only $20 I have ordered new ones. I like the look over some other types.

I took the old ones apart. While there was a silicone seal they did leak allowing moisture in and it rusted the circuit boards. So instead of 8 LED boards I now have one 4 and one 6 LED. I suppose could use them someplace. I think a simple wrap of electrical tape will avoid the problem on the new ones.

Tomorrow I get a brake fluid flush.

Brake fluid done - $66

Serviced brakes. Rears sort of frozen and calipers on front need some lube - $95 - I can certainly feel the difference.

Wheel alignment - $45 I had never had it done after dropping it.

Two front wiper inserts - $16

I am happy. First significant bill.

Finally had a nice enough day to replace the grille lights. Now if it would warm up a bit so can get The Rays back on. I have a set of blue Mutecki(sp) nuts for them.

I messed up yesterday.

Was swapping out winter wheels for the Rays. I bought new blue Mutecki(sp) nuts to replace the black Muteckis(sp). Well damn I was reefing on the first one on the rear and messed up threads. Turns out these are a finer thread than the black ones.

I said screw it and decided to go with Sport wheels. Well could only get 3 nuts on. Honda took me first thing this morning. Replaced all 4 studs and swapped out other snows for $86. I think rather reasonable. Also measured remaining tread on all 8 and bagged them.

So my Rays are for sale. $500 with the tires that may have a summer left on them.

Hi Wild Bill!!! The guy at a fastener shop down here told me there are 3 different metric thread sizes, so they can't afford to stock all of them.. It cost me $9.00 for 2 header bolts with washers to correct for them being longer than the OEM ones... My damned dog steals nuts and bolts while I'm under the car and took one of them.

Hey Wily you survived another winter.

Better the dog took the manifold nuts and not yours.

Taffy got her insides cleansed this morning. I am real happy with how the Weather Techs kept carpet clean this past winter. I did not get them til mid-jan so had a bit of salt residue near gas pedal. I couple shots of salt remover with steel brush cleaned that up. All the door sills are shiny again.

Now if it gets a bit warmer this after noon I will wash her.

I have a new long handle wash brush from Wal-Mart and one of those collapsible hoses. Hose is neat. Xmas present from wife.

Oh the Weather Techs in the Caravan worked great as well. They went in before any snow/salt so the carpets look brand new.

Thanks. It should last a long time. Mine had been on for a couple of years. Not a big deal to do.
