My Taffy 09 and my old Austin Healey Sprite 61
My Taffy 09 and my old Austin Healey Sprite 61
Had their first meeting this week. I owned the Bugeye mid 80s to early 90s. After restoring it I drove it to Watkins Glen, Mosport and Shannonville tracks and camped out of it.
The current owner is about 300 kms from me. It turns out we are from same small town and went to school together in the late 50s.

Tomorrow I get to help the mechanic drop it on Swifts.
I have it ready -
I do have a Dodge Caravan as well. Is that more suitable for my advanced age?
advanced age, never heard that one before, I like it!
There is no age limit for owning a fit, in fact 90% of the fits i see day-to-day are driven by people with more advanced ages. lol
I also checked out ur website, specifically you car page, and whoa! You have a great track record of really nice cars! I really hope my list of owned cars will be like that someday.

At 28, I'm definitely a spring-chicken among Fit drivers!
BTW, awesome Sprite! I saw one at a used dealership today.
I'm thinking in a few years I'll look for an old MG or Triumph as a beater toy... I have the Fit for grocery hauling, the bike for ass-hauling... Why not a fun, mechanically questionable British car to keep life interesting!
(BTW, I heard a comment about the BP oil leak that cracked me up... "BP... British Petroleum.... BRITISH Petroleum. It's British; It's SUPPOSED to leak oil.)

I use to have a tray of kitty litter under the Sprite.
Special - thanks. One I miss is my 510. That was some motor. I always wanted to drop one of those in a Sprite.
Here is short video of Monday drive. With quick steering I find the Fit comparable to the Sprite in a way. My first test drive in a Fit was a manual and felt like driving the Sprite. I got an Auto though as most of my driving is city and the joy of clutching and shifting has been long gone. Now I just put it in D3. We don't have paddles up here.
