I have a 2013, got it about 6 months ago. I had a horrible time buying it, but I love the car. The first dealership I went to, I saw the color on the wall and asked the salesman (who was an idiot with a capital I) about the color and he told me the car didn't come in purple. He also told me the sport came with a moonroof, and that none of the models came with alloys. I left that dealership, went to another one that I knew had it in Midnight Plum, and asked to see it. It was in the shade and we couldn't tell the difference between it and the ones that were black next to it. So I said I wanted to see one with the Nav package, and the saleslady said she had it in blue and drove me over to the lot with the car. Turns out - the tag (and the title) were listed as blue, even though the car was plum! Since I'm a huge purple freak, I decided to get it. I had the paperwork guy change the title to "PUR" so isn't blue on the title or registration.

Problem is, no one knows my car is purple. You can't tell unless the light hits it *just* right. You can see it on the part you step over with your feet inside the car. And sometimes in parking lots at night it is purple-ish. Since I'm moving to Portland, Oregon, I'm sure no one will ever know that I have a purple car (due to the clouds, rain, and dreariness).

I wish it were more purple and less black, because it would just be more epic that way. It looks so hot when it is purple. Oh well. I got it instead of the blue raspberry because it is just an infinitely cooler and more resellable color, but I just wish it were more purple.

Anyone else agree?

 

Here in AZ it always looks Purple, what with it always being sunny! lol. Funny a post should arrive in this thread I started - we just paid if off today.

 

Congratulations on paying it off. I live in Connecticut now and even throughout the summer, I think it's so dusty and pollen-y it never looks purple.

 

This thread deserves more love; Midnight Plum Pearl is a stunning color!
