Sweet! Has anyone gone past 10 psi with these kits?
From what I remember, JDMChris was running 12 PSI with a different pulley and tune to compensate of course.
I'm not sure if he still has his Fit though... the C15-60 Rotrex from what I understand still has some room to make more boost by downsizing the pulley... just not sure of how small of a pulley to go with before the SC gets out of its efficiency range
An abundance of parts have been acquired along with several additional projects (four to be exact). The VBP is still in my possession and will not leave the fleet unless critical choices have to be made. The car does need some TLC and a good refresh but otherwise sits in the garage unchanged. The CR-Z is still in the fleet as well. I'm debating making video blogs for restomodding both but only time will tell since I have am absurdly busy schedule. Haha
The VBP, the CR-Z and the most recent acquisition slightly peaking out.
Better shot of the most recent acquisition from a friend which is great two fold. 1) This GE8 completes the trio of SOHC VTEC L15 cars sold in the states, with the 2016 6MT CR-Z being the hardest one to acquire. 2) This GE8 has a bit of a back drop. It has participated in Gridlife's Sundae Cup and due to it's history, I lovingly dubbed it "Tootsie"... because Tootsie rolled at Road America. Shockingly, no airbag deployment during the on track accident.
Following that... I have a new daily... to relieve the CR-Z as a daily...
Meet my 363k mile Milano Fade daily... Lovingly called "Ashy Larry".
Larry is my daily beater that I rescued back in October of 2021. Currently he has a 30mm spacer lift up front, 40mm space lift in the rear, an Unequal Fabrication high flow cat, DME B pipe and my old HFP axle back from the VBP during my high school days. The tail lamps are indeed authentic JDM smoked uppers I acquired from forum member @devmail prior to him parting ways from his Fit and the community.
Larry prior to the mild lift with white R56 Bridge Spokes. He didn't come alone though. He has a twin that also needed rescuing... So I got her too...
Meet Musty Mary... She has a bit of a water leak and clutch problem. Inside smells like clam juice and snake knuckles but she'll be sorted soon!
The Milano Twins fading in the sun.
I do have one more GD3 laying around in the fleet but that project will be a bit tighter lipped until key components are acquired. For now, this is what I have...
The VBP and CR-Z will get some TLC and mild updates with time. The Milano Twins will be fun street cars that see opposite ends of the "build spectrum"... One lifted for rallycross, the other lowered and setup to be a L15 powered autocross and road course car. Tootsie the GE8 may sway towards B Spec or be the new lifted daily with a 5 lug conversion (still debating). The final GD... again, that one is going to be tight lipped until it's done.
Hoping members both new and long standing are well!
Hey hey! Hoping everyone is well. Been chaoticly busy as always. Haha
I'm tossing the idea of either rolling ALL the Fit content in this thread or (what I'm leaning towards) branching off and making a thread for each individual car in a similar documented storyline format as this.
Also, I actually had an opportunity to get a proper line up shot of the fleet...
Also in typical SOHC horder fashion... I adopted another one. This one is tad bigger than the others for some reason though. Meet "Otis Ridging"... my 2025 Ridgeline Black Edition finished in Radiant Red.
Otis is going to help with parts runs, trips to track events and participate in future shenanigans. 😉
