The pictures don't work unless you have an account and log into that other forum.

The gun I used was just a cheapie Wagner from walmart.. It was $60..
And I got the dip from Lowes and Home depot, used 9 of those 14.5 ounce cans and thinned it 50/50 with VM&P. Ends up making two sprayable gallons but i probably needed 3 for the sake of being able to peel it later..
I'm planning on getting some clear dip and mixing some pearl into it to make it a little more interesting.. Just not sure what color..

Why not. Cheaper than paint albeit a bit heavy.

this is false. plastidip isn't heavy at all.

looks awesome, i'm plastidipping my 96 4dr civic very soon, most likely army tan or brown, I have tan interior and only paid 300 bucks for the car so I don't want to spend a lot on a paint job, but want it to look better then the peeling clear coat look it currently has.
more pics please, and what was the original color?

Here in Miami we got a retailer that sells every single color already reduced ready to pore into the spray gun and spray. it's awesome!

Not bad at all, I would suggest finding aftermarket gloss black wheels to set off the look
