First I want to say this sucks as an option for a lift for a daily driver, the extra stiffness makes hit any minor crack or bump in the road feel like a pot hole. Though I have been riding on it for about a week now, and the ride has been getting better, or it could be that I am just getting used to it. It is noted on the sight that there will be significant noise with these shocks and there is, it doesn't bother me as much as the bouncy suspension. But it is a little concerning to hear a loud bang when going up a speed bump or curb.
- Customer service is very responsive. I received my rear shocks, which were cross-threaded, making it impossible for the nut to fully seat on either shock and for the car to be driven safely. While I did not receive a refund or replacement, as of yet, customer service worked with me to find solutions. Took it to my local mechanic to get the one nut down fully. For the other, I was able to find a nut that was able to go all the way down and secure the shock in place. Another problem I had was the dampers coming broken or breaking during installation. The front strut damper spins freely and the rear with the nut no screwing down snapped off from wear of continued attempts of tightening.
- In my opinion, $2000 was not worth it; a better route might be to use different coilovers meant for daily driving to the highest ride height. I have the springs from this coilover set and I plan to keep them since other coilover set springs are much lower.
205/60R16 Wheels give about 1in lift alone but I was bottoming out in front.
Also added 1in wheel spacer on the rear to make it more in line with the front. With the bigger size tires they poke out a little on each side of the car in the front, I liked the look and decided to do poke out the back as well. Might even go 1in spacers in the front and 1.5in spacers in the rear later. With 205/60R16 wheels and YSR suspension OEM spring compared to coil over included spring
Without adjusting for even more height the strut stands much taller. Rear shocks, sorry picture is not clear Rear shock and coil
