Thinking about raising my fit 1 or tmo inches. Any helpful hints/warnings/how-to's?

My front bumber always scrapes on the little dips in the road and in parking lots. In order to keep from damaging my front bumper and non riping it off along with my light kit, i want to raise my fit an inch or two to prevent this from happening. I am also trying to keep from srcaping when my car is loaded with guitar equipment. Is there an easy way to do this? or a not hideously expensive way? Or perhaps a combination of the two?

Get some bigger wheels.

are you on lowering springs or stock? If you're rubbing on stock, then learn to drive a "lowered" car =) I'm dropped but if you're careful on speedbumps, hills and dips then you should be fine. Bigger wheels/tire combo will help too. Swap your tires out from some meaty 60s lol.

i scrape, but its pretty rare..

Yeah I'm lowered also and I never scrape. It's just a matter of getting used to the car's stock height. You need to learn how to "angle" ... Remember , we aren't driving 4x4's that you can just go up and curb / speedbump and hit it straight.. You need to learn how to approach each dip / curb / incline / decline at an angle. What would you do if you were driving a lambo ? =)

im on stock, but i am upgrading on tire size. i just drive like a maniac i guess. but right now i can't even get into my friends driveway without scraping! you can't dig in florida, you have to backfill everything first. we can't even have basements! it really sucks. I still may raise it, but for now i think i will stick with my wheels-body kit-dash kit plan.
