which one's really work??

The only thing i have done to my suspension is skunk2 springs. What bars really work?? Front strut, lower front strut, c-pillar, sway, etc........ Im ready to buy some right now but i just dont want to waste my money on something that isnt that helpful u know. The only bar thats out of the question is the rear strut bar bc i use my trunk alot!! Thanks guys for the help and info!!

I can tell ya Tanabe strut bars are a little bendy. I'd probably change mine out in the later future for some stronger ones.

solbrothers Feb 25, 2008 11:43 PM

i have the J's rear upper strutbar. definately high quality. i can't wait for NEXT to release the miracle X bar. im definately buying it.

Strutbars with no flex points, c pillar is rice unless it is the kind that wraps around with soild points like those for the eg's and ek's. Sway bars work just look at the reviews.

pastadog Feb 26, 2008 12:11 AM

so yes on the sway bars, no on c-pillar and maybe on the strut bars???

dank24 Feb 26, 2008 12:40 AM

only strut bars I would get is a solid Spoon, Solid DC, or a Solid Mugen. I also emailed Passwordjdm asking when they are going to come out with a bar and they said they do not have the interest right now to produce one. Would be nice is Neuspeed came out with one.

jeffquach Feb 26, 2008 12:42 AM

progress rear sway bar..hands down.

pastadog Feb 26, 2008 12:47 AM

ya thats what ive heard!!! does it really help that much?? does the back end fill like its gonna slide out :)?

kenchan Feb 26, 2008 04:54 PM

I had the spoon and didnt like it... The J's one actually works better.

I'm running a Spoon Front Strut Bar and a C-Pillar Bar. That's all I really needed but I'll also be installing the Progress rear sway as well this summer :)

Progress rear sway.... dont waste money on the other bars too early on. There are better things to spend you money on.

best advice.

strutbars are just hype. the front might cut down on road noise, but other than that, it's a waste. get that progress swaybar.

Thanks guys!!!

my support:
front spoon upper strut bar
tanabe rear strut bar
t1r lower control arm brace
bmax c pillar bar
front sway bar urethane bushings
and the progress rear sway bar is on its way!

my buddy has a vw r32 and everytime i let him drive my car he comes back and says "man, i wish my car handled as good as yours"

edit: oh i dont know if it counts but the j;s racing rear monocoque also.

halfway between coils and springs. i have the tein basic damper kit. works really well im happy with them.

if you plan on pushing your car beyond its limits, id say get as many braces & supports you can get your hands on. if your just a joe schmo looking for a little better handling, dont bother.

i wonder if the j's one worked better because with the added power you have, the body flex is increased and your strut towers needs a little give because of that.
