why is the rear higher than the front?
 

just an observation, most of the Fits I see with lowering springs (some with coilovers too) tend to have the rears sticking up higher than the fronts. why is that?

I dunno, I have KSports with the rear all the way down and it's higher than the front. Been thinking of raising my fronts a hair.

is it to counter the "squatting effect" from fast acceleration from a stop?

That's the opposite of what most lowering springs I know do to GDs. Usually the rear goes lower, especially evident when the car is laden. People here usually add rubber or aluminum spacers to their rear springs to equalize the drop.

I've remove my spring seat to make it equal.
I've cut a tire tube and put it at the same place of the seat to reduce de noise.

Part of it may be the way the bumper looks. It doesn't come down all the way so it appears the rear is higher

CG. you want more weight on the front because it's FWD. that's all.

Theres a few different reasons. First it is because the front of the car is heavier due to the engine. Second is so when you add weight to the back, passengers or cargo, the bottom with level out with the front. All vehicles will have a slightly raised rear end.
