I had the same thing going on as Chris when I was using 205-50-16s on 16"-7"-38 mm offset wheels with the Buddy Club N+ Coilovers... I remounted the tires on 16"-6.5"-16" wheels and all is fine... I find that the ride is a bit too rough when set over 5 or 6 clicks from the softest setting but when cornering the tires stick like crazy and the car stays very flat... I have my car sitting high and level front to rear and find that the caster angle is improved, making the car Feel more stable at high speed and requiring less modulation of the steering wheel when exiting turns...I have no preload on the front springs and now have the dampers set at 4 clicks in front and 3 in the rear.. The ride isn't as compliant as it was with Swift springs on stock dampers but it isn't uncomfortable to drive and the handling is great on curvy farm to market roads... I have a feeling that the offset and tire width is what is causing the problems Chris is experiencing... I had a somewhat similar experience with an extended swing arm on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and Progressive Suspension rear air shocks... It was only extended in length 1 1/2" but it felt like the shocks were not damping at all and the springs were way to soft yet they were fine on a stock length swing arm... I have had similar experiences on air cooled and water cooled VWs that I had wide offset wheels and wide tires on.

^I agree, I never go over halfway stiffness on my damper, even when I'm at the racetrack

And yes, the ride is super nice so long as there are no potholes or railroad tracks nearby haha

Texas Coyote, try making the rear stiffer than the front, like 3f 4r or 4f 5r and tell me what you think, that's usually how I ride I feel like the sweet spot on the rear shock is like 4-6 and the front is more like 3-5

I was finally able to get a hold of Albert at Buddy Club and we are working on a way to solve the rest of my issues.

Thank you for apologizing to him, he works hard over there so sometimes he can't help everyone's issues in one day. I just tried my best to get you two on the right page so I'm glad it panned out, at least for now hopefully everything gets addressed

I tried not to use his name because he told me not to use it over the internet, he doesn't want people calling in all the time blowing him up for help or questions. If you could just refer to him as the "tech department" he would really appreciate it

i think the spring rate is way too soft for these coilovers...then with the spring compressed-the car isnt lowered much---i went from the skunk2 pro-c which were awesome to this waste of a setup....i'm going to change the spring rate up front and hope it makes a difference-- if not ur see them post for sale--have maybe 3000 miles on them-- had over 80k on skunk2

i don't know about gd but my ge rides nicely. Now I changed the stiffness etc and lots of bumpy road where I live so it's rough but I like the feel. I'm not sure how you are rubbing with 3 finger gap. Unless there is a bump I don't rub. I am at 0 gap and tucking tire. hope your issue gets resolved.

UGH... Kida went through something similar with the S2 people for the Pro C's I Just got. Although with the rears. They could not figure out what the rear springs were. I ended up throwing on a 7" 2.5ID 10K Swift spring... and had to remove collars and perches to be at a reasonable "race" height. Going to go with a 6" 12.5K I think, and a 10K Swift spring to replace what ever the 8K is up front is in time... once they are off back order
