How much did the ride change after the swap?
|
it should be a very comfortable ride, since it is a progressive spring, meaning it stays very comfy while cruising in the city, but when needed and compressed, it will provide you with the stiffness you want, since it is progressive, it should have no problem at all with the factory shocks!!

I want to slightly lower my hamster, but would also wish to soften the ride for my city driving.

Albert! thnx for the info abou the springs. Do u know if the skunk 2's are progressive cuz it doesn't look like it. How much do the sprint springs drop the car (Front and back) and a price shipped to 91214 here in cali. And OMG they are blue!! what about the tanabe gf-210 springs, are they softer then the DF-210? i don't want to lose ride quality and i am def. interested in one of these 2 springs: gf-210 or sprint. thnx man!

the tanabe GF-210's aren't as aggressive as the DF-210's, and are comparable to the NF-210's, but tanabe does NOT offer the NF-210's for the 07+ honda fit, only the GF-210's and DF-210's the sprint springs are really good, progressive rate, heard good stories from them on other cars, the sprint springs lower about 1.5" all around, but if i had the choice, i'd do the tanabe springs |

Albert, few years back while MODACAR was stil in Pleasanton I picked up a set of Kg/mm springs for my GSR sedan. They were dual progessive if I am not mistaken. Coil spacing and thickness of the wire varied on both ends of the spring. Car soacked bumbs better than stock, but had almost no body roll! I kept up with my buddy on a Ninja in the canyons! Before selling the GSR, I removed them and I put them (with a small modification to the rubber bushing of the top perch on the fronts) in my CRX on the Koni's. I can take corners as fast as tire traction will alow regardless of how badly uneven road surface is! I intend to put the CRX on track next year with this set up.
Bottom line can you guys still get Kg/mm springs? Their site lists application for GD1, GD2 and GD3. I am willing to make modifications to fit them if needed. please let me know. |

Albert, if you could do that it would bring the best spring choice for the fit to the market! Dual progressive! The best of both worlds and light years ahead of the competition on the market! ;)
BTW, I was at Infineon, Raceway last Sunday. Got some great shots of the Elise Turbo on and of the track. Off the track I had to chase it down around the track! LOL! :D |
