i am just wandering about the quality of these strut tower bars...i can get both F/R towers bars with tanabe for good $$$. Then i ask is GTspec just overpriced or just better quality cause you see the price on this site...i am curious cause i want more function then looks since i WILL be attending every autox event this year...i want something that lasts for a long time...i dont care about spending the extra $$$, but if Tanabe hardcore then i will go with them...I am in the hunt for tower bars:cool:

i think some might be price gouging for the fact that it is new to the US market. I have made my own in the past (i'm a machinest), and know what they cost to make on a 1 by one basis. the tanabe's seem to be a very good value IMHO. the gtspec ones are most likely just priced high. the only thing i would do different, is make them straight with no bends. it's harder to bend something that isn't bent allready. never a big fan. but then again, will auto x'ing bring any of these to the bending point? i doubt it. just my .02 folks

I asked before and I'll ask again.

Please post up some close up pictures as to how the bar is mounted to the car.

Thanks

these have brackets already, and they come with supplied hardware, all you have to do is remove the color matched stickers under your hood and screw it in

This is the best I got for the rear..

The front is here, its hard to make out..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...M/DSC01300.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...M/DSC01316.jpg

The rear , you will pop off the plastic covers on the rear shock towers, break the nut (not literally) loose from the tower, keep the metal circle that is there and place the bracket over the bolt. Then replace the nut and screw it onto the bolt. Do the same on the other side, next comes the adjustment.. I simply held the bar in place untill I could see straight thru with no problems, then I tried the bolt and if that worked I tigthened it down. If not I made the proper adjustments.. Besure to tighten all the bolts down for final placement or you will hear rattling like no body's bussiness! The front similar, you will find little stickers that cover a few holes the bolts will slide thru, remove the stickers and also there will be a hose on the passenger side which needs to be freed from its current position, some wires will also need to be freed on the drivers side. Once everything is out of the way you will place the bracket to align with the holes and insert one of the bolts. Here you can either reach you're hand up in the wheel well and try to align it or jack the car up and remove the wheel..-- when you do the bolt insertion you will notice a slight diffrence in the bolt sizes, the longes bolt will go thru the thickest part of the bracket-- . At that point just adjust the bar and tighten..

-- If you have any questions I'am sure Albert over a modacar will help ya out, I ended up calling him a about 3 times thru my installation..
