Thanks! I weighed the packing material and subtracted it from the package weight that ups statd and i got 15lbs per rim. Prety darn good. Thats 2+ pounds lighter than the HFP's i had.
Tomorrow i am going to jack up the rear end and shave down the lip inside the rear wheel well. Hopefully that will take car of it.
All in all i drove on the highway today 50 miles each way and no rubbing whatsoever. It only seems to be happening with sudden grade changes in the road surface.

Hey man, I work for subaru so I see my share of fast subbie's. I also own one. A 02 wrx in the ultra rare blaze yellow. Well, its more of the wife's car. Anyway, I personally think the fit has a lot of potential. But, if you need a good daily driver it fits the job as well. Basiclly it comes down to what you want to do. I would love to make mine faster to compete agains cars like the wrx. Its all about money and time. Also who you know. Well at least you have the fit and it won't burn a hole in your wallet for gas like the rex did!
Hey Hondady, where did you order your Buddy Clubs through?
I beleive that a 205/50/15 will work fine on the factory sport wheels. Is your car lowered? If so you might get some rubbing on hard bumps and hard cornering. If is not lowered you will be fine. I have my car on eibach pro springs and just ordered some flat black buddy club p-1 sf wheels in a 15x6.5 with a +40 offset. Im sticking with the 195/55/15 tire size because I don't want any issues with rubbing. Also don't want to roll my fenders. Tires I bought are the BFGoodrich G-force's. Can't wait to get my rims and tires. Anyway you should be fine with the 205/50/15. Good luck

i'm getting my jazz vti-s in a few days and im changing to 16 buddyclub p1s straight away
or should i keep them incase my rims get stolen.. (pretty common in my area..)

I just ordered a set of Buddy clubs and they should be here by Friday. Has anyone tried some 205/35/17s instead of 40 series? Will the lower profile tires stop the rear rub with these rims? What do you think Leonine?

what color did ya get? Pisses me off cause tire rack and sport compact only said based on the rim size/offset and 205/40's there would be no rub. Obviously they were wrong.
It really is not bad just every once in a while depending on road conditions it will slightly. If the 35 series is a lower profile then i would get that one IMO. Tire rack has no tires in 205/35 17. Where did you see them?

I ordered the gunmetal color. They should look good on my silver Fit. Most of the tires on Tire Rack say they come in a 35 series. I just can't find any in a 205/17!!! If I find any I'll let you know.

Is it normally just you in the car? Mine is a family daily driver so rubbing could be more of a possibility for me with a wife and 2 kids on 17's.

No offense or anything...but without it being dropped, your car looks like it's on stilts...I have no clue why it looks so tall with those 17's on there, but ya...it does. that or it looks like it's on it's tippy-toes. lol

He's got a base Fit and so no moldings. Maybe that's why it looks taller

The car rides great, of course we had snow this morning here in Ny but it still rode great. The offset is 40. It's just a little louder, i hear the road more I think it's due to more rubber on the road..
