Federal tires...

has anyone tried them out on their fits yet?

i have heard great things about these tires.

the ss595 and the 595RS-R.

i know they are used for drifting and tracking, so they have to be some what decent to hold up right? since drifting is spinning tires and trying to grip?

these are DIRT CHEAP like for my 17" they are 60 bucks a pop installed for the ss595.
hence why i wanna try them out.

I've ran a 595RS on one of my previous cars in a 255/40-17. They hook up pretty decent the one time I tried them out at Qualcomm. They're a somewhat noisy tire. But not any more loud than the Advan AO46s... I'd say the 595RS are fairly on par with the Azenis RT-215/615 in the corners. For the price that the federals go for, I guess you can't complain for what you get...

i heard they have a stronger side wall then the rt615'a thats why ive been considering them.

i mean i can rock 2 sets for the price of 1 pair of azenis.

good drift tires - but they suck for daily driving as far as longevity goes.. but then again - theyre cheap so what do you expect... :D

@ 180 Treadwear rating for the 595RS, you can't expect stellar tire life. haha :D

OP, you might wanna consider the 595SS if you're concerned with tirelife. @ 200 treadwear rating, you'll get a little more tirelife for your dollar in comparison to the 595RS. As far as sidewall stiffness/strength goes, IMO, they're about the same between the RS and the 615.

cool.... yeah i just want them to last me like 10k miles.

something that will get me through the summer and into winter for my next set.

its summer time of course and a lot of the forums like to go driving in the canyons. so i like to follow along so i can show them that my family eco box can keep up :)
