Product Review - Duplicolor Caliper/ Drum paint

http://http://www.duplicolor.com/products/caliper.html

The Rear Drum of my 07' Fit Sport with stock 15'' wheels.

My brothers 05' Cavalier with aftermarket roters and the caliper painted silver (OEM was black).

This kit sells for less than $40.00 US and is great for calipers and Drums. The above pic is of the rear drum painted Silver (OEM is Black).

It took less than 1 hour to remove the wheel, paint the drum, dry, and replace the both wheels.

This will look even better once I get the 17" black wheels that I am waiting on.

This is a nice touch that really makes the wheels stand out more and looks much better in my opinion.

If you have any questions for me don't hesitate

I'd do the calipers but not the drums. brings too much attention to the fact that there are rear drums!!!

I was only ashamed when the rear drums looked like crap (black OEM). To each there own... I can't see putting rear disc brakes on a car that has phenominal stopping power, 70-0mph in 169 feet, just for the look.

2005 Cavalier with OEM drums after 18 months of use.

Same 2005 Cavalier with the rear drums painted Silver.

I guess it comes down to personal preference.

I am wondering how this paint holds up after some time. How long has your brother had his calipers painted? Stock drums would look better than painted ones if the paint starts to peel/chip off after 4 or 5 months.

He has had them painted for 6 months with no chips or peeling. I know of other people that have had there drums painted for over a year without any problems. I have only seen chipping and peeling from the OEM paint NOT the Duplicolor.

This stuff is the real deal.

If the stock paint on the drums is prone to chipping, wouldn't you want to strip it before repainting? What is the best way to do that?

Saw a Celica with red painted drums. Umm yeah. Not saying drums are bad (they stop great) but they are not bling.
