Hello people!

I'm new here but I'm going to buy some rims for my fit.

I live in Argentina. So I have the brazilian version of the Honda fit.

Issume is the same one as you have in the USA?

Anyhow, im wondering to get some exciting new rims!

I'm wondering if I can get the 17" 7.5 ones and install them without touching or modding the suspensions of the car?

My wife is going to use the car soon and she doesnt want to feel it hard like we had with our previous car. A Clio with 18" wheels :D.
That was a long jump because Clio had 14" stock rims and I swapped them for 18" :D. 215.35.18". :D.

But this case is different. I want to swap 16" stock rims for this 17" incredible rims!!!

Would they fit my fit? :).

Or I should buy the 16" ones in order to dont mod anything in the car suspensions or whatever.

Is it a big difference for the fit to go from 16" stock to 17" rims???

I don't think you will have any problem if you get a low enough profile tire.
I could be wrong though, so i would wait for some more input.

I don't know about the limitations of the older model Fits (GD) but on the newer ones, I'd dissuade you from buying large heavy wheels like that. Being that they are chrome, and of that style, I can guarantee you they will be heavy - possibly very heavy, and that will give you crappy "everything." Acceleration and braking are going to go down, fuel economy, ride quality, and on top of all that, on the GE, you are pushing it with 7.5" wide, depending on the offset of the wheel, which you should also confirm is not too low (keep it above +40 and you should be okay with stock suspension.) I've seen a GE with 7.5" at +35 offset and it looked like it was poking in the front a tiny bit. I wouldn't even get the 16" version of those wheels, as they will also have all the same effects I described. The stock ones are relatively lightweight and helps the car achieve it's fuel economy ratings.

Stock wheels weight vs this ones.

So ,the stock wheels weight is for 16" 17,6 lbs.
