Wheel Alignment Specs 2007 Fit

I'm trying to get my car aligned by the Dealership here, and NONE on Long Island have the '07 specs yet in their Alignment machines!!

The online shop manual that is posted here on the forum only goes up to 2005, and i'm not using that!

So If anyone whom has bought the helms 2007 official book, please post the specs, i would greatly appreciate it!

I have a '07 Fit Sport w/ Manual Transmission!

Thanks!

I am taking mine in tomorrow morning to the dealer for them to check it out. If they fix it i will try to talk to the mechanic and find out what the specs are.

With the GD3 we just set it up like an Auto-X setting with my T1R Coilovers. -2.25 Camber w/ .25 Toe Out on the front and the Rear has no adjustability...

Look in your owner manual, it's at the end w/ the specs...

The only reason that i'm asking for the alignment specs is not because of any suspension or wheel/tire change, but rather because the car has an off-centered steering wheel since factory delivery, and it slightly pulls left and wanders on the highway!

My dealership has been telling me that their machine does not have it yet, and that if i got the specs (that they could look up .... ) They could use the specs for the alignment

Really?
I'll check it when i get home, I'm not with her at the moment!

I have the exact same problem, misaligned to the left.

phil_qc 07-06-2006 10:45 PM

Me to... go straight on the right lane, straight on a flat road but left on the
left lane... I can see by eye that the left front wheel have different caster than the right. (the left front wheel is more to the rear than the right...)
(the axle distance front/rear is shorer to the left side). It's a normal alignment
in country where you drive on the right side of the road (because of road crown)... If your alignment problem is like mine, the casters can be adjusted by moving the subframe in the correct direction during alignment... or camber
is more negative to the right side...

Ok specs: front camber: 0* / front toe: 0mm / front caster: 3*74' / rear camber: -1,5 rear / toe: 2,5mm

Tolerances: (spelling???)
Front Camber: -0,8 @ 0,8
Front Caster: 1,2 @ 3,2
Front Toe: -0,12 @ 0,12

Rear Camber: -1,5 @ 0,0
Rear Toe: 0,04 @ 0,16

For the car to go straight, you need to minimize cross camber and
cross caster (left and right should be as equal as possible) 0.5* is
in my opinion to much... The rear is not adjustable so if something is
way out of spec, something is bent...

Hope that help,
Philippe

i have not noticed mine steering off

gettinafit 07-07-2006 02:50 PM

Yeah it's strange, it also feels like the car wanders anyway it wants to on the highway!

So ready for the drama? I dropped off my ride at the dealer this morning 8AM. First Appt. 2 and a half hours later they hadn't done a f**king thing. So i had to have the wife pick me up so i could get to work. Then i speak to them throughout the day and they tell me that 2 different mechanics took it for a ride and DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING WRONG!!! I'm ready to go postal on these fools.

Needless to say i am pretty pissed off!

I am going to take it to another dealer and have them check it out. Can i do that?

gettinafit 07-07-2006 03:31 PM

Absolutely! You can go to any HONDA dealership! Make sure they have their OWN alignment machine! Some Sublet it out to an outside shop! And they are not willing to spend the $ for your warranty repairs! They make less!!

But something such as an alignment IS covered under Honda's warranty!

I'm waiting for my appointment 7/22, It was originally 7/15, but you know what's on that day!

mine drives just fine.
I believe honda covers wheel alignment for 1yr.
If they can't find anything wrong, then get the print out!!!
and see for yourself if its aligned.
