16x7.5 +35 offset will it fit???

looking at a set of 16x7.5 with a +35 offset i usually dont go lower offsets usually stick to +40 or 45 for easy clearance but the fits look better with a lower offset i was curious if this wheel setup would work on an 08 fit with a mild drop like the eibach pro kit any info would be greatly appreciated i have been searching for hours and have contradicting answers of yes and no

DreaMv 01-16-2012 02:40 AM

yes it will not rub! 205/50 or 205/45

GAFIT 01-16-2012 09:40 AM

They WILL rub. Our 16x7 +40's rub in the rear and we are not dropped. 205/45's are mounted on the wheel.

k24afit 01-16-2012 10:12 AM

they will fit u just need to roll ur fenders... I had the same setup a while back

08_vbp_fit 01-16-2012 02:09 PM

i was hoping to not have to roll the fenders due to the possible paint chiiping but it seems like it would fit with possibly a smaller tire i love the konig roller wheels but they only offer the above offset where as the konig candy's come in a 16x7 +40 but only in the black and i wanna run a 16 so im limited lol ahhhh i hate picking wheels such a pain

Frekazoyd 02-04-2012 07:06 AM

These wheels don't rub?

How do you rub in the rear with that setup, are you sure its the rear? I have 16X7 +42 tire 205/45/16. I also have a 5mm spacer in the rear, making the rear offset +37. The tire just misses the inside fender lip.

So they will rub? 16х7,5 +35

DreaMv 02-04-2012 01:05 PM

even if it rubs, it wont be much.. other than the occasional rub on a bump.

if it does, get the fenders rolled and you'll be set...

MY setup rubs soo much the sides of the tires where it says the size and brand is basically bald now from constant rubbing.. but i dont give a crap. rubbing wont end your life..

I'm abolutely positive and can tell you exactly where they rub. It makes contact with the tab that the rear fascia mounts to inside the wheel well. It was a problem easily solved by bending the tab up and out of the way. Now it only makes contact if there is weight in the rear and we hit a dip at speed. Around here we don't ever rub and we drive down to and all over FL without rubbing. However, every trip to Ohio and the crappy Interstates up there have us cringing on every bump and adding more scuffs to the sidewalls.

I have this exact set up 16x7.5 and 205 45 16. I had to roll my rear fenders but it still rubs with people in the back if the roads not perfect. I'm lowered on eibach sport line and esm wheels.

Frekazoyd 02-09-2012 07:28 AM

You have any pics for reference? It might help the OP out a bit more.

I realize this is an older thread, but didn't really feel the need to start a new thread about the same topic.

I'm looking at this exact setup with the Konig Roller Wheels (16x7.5 +35 offset with 205/50/16) but with the stock suspension on a 2015 Fit. Anyone know if I'll have any issues with rubbing?

Thanks in advance.

dwtaylorpdx 06-16-2016 05:31 PM

Good tire shops will mount 1 and test fit it. If your close on clearance there is enough slop in specs between all the moving parts there are no guarantees that what works on one car is exactly what works on another car.

Thanks for your reply. My concern is that I'll be ordering the wheels/tires online and I can't return them if they don't fit.

For what it's worth, the current rims on the car are using 215/45/17 and there doesn't seem to be any rubbing issues. These were the rims on the car when I bought it.

Resurrect this thread! So did you proceed with the Konig Roller? I was thinking of doing this too and I would need guidance.
