NEW! 16x7.5 or 17x7.5!?
 

Hey fitfreaks! I've used fit forums for a while now to get help I just never registered. I have a 2016 Honda Fit EX-L w/nav and I plan on getting a new set of wheels and tires for it but i dont know much about the measurements. I found some nice wheels named Konig Runlite. Measurements are 16x7.5 and 17x7.5 both with an offset of 45, bolt pattern 4x100 and center bore 73.1 my oem measurements are 16x6, 4x100, 53 offset, and 56.1 hub bore. Can the 16 and 17 fit without making any adjustments to my suspension or fenders?? I also need helps with tire sizes and which ones would fit best on each wheel

Offset is the distance from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting face or the distance that's "offset". So if you have a 6" wheel and a 53mm offset and go to say a 7.5" wide wheel with the same offset the wheel will be 3/4" closer to the strut/shock and will also poke out 3/4" more towards the outside of the car. The lower offset number will move the wheel further to the outside of the car if the wheel width is the same. Generally as the wheel gets wider the offset decreases since you need to have a minimum distance between the wheel/tire and the struts.

Center bore is easily corrected or explained. Aftermarket wheels usually have a center bore larger to accommodate many brands of auto manufactures. Hub centering rings or adaptors are available cheaply to go from say 73.1 mm to the Fit's 56.1mm hub diameter. Not a big deal.

BTW: Not sure what you're trying to accomplish? Not trying to insult you, but if you don't know you shouldn't be messing around with it. Otherwise you'll just be selling some new wheels and/or tires that don't fit cheaply on eBay or Craigslist. Places like Tire Rack and Discount Tire Direct will have simulation programs and test fit to make sure what they're selling you fits. Not saying you can't go bigger or different, but you're the one who has to know and do the research. Based on your post, you're not qualified
