i am going to get a carbon fiber mold made of a double din metra kit. i chose the metra kit because ive heard on these forums that the metra kit fits nicer than the scosche kit but is off in color. no need to worry about the color when its in CARBON FIBER!

so.....i need ten people to get this made. if not, ill be the only one with this and i will also pay alot more. so, GET ON THIS LIST!

just ordered the metra kit today to make the mold so this is definitely going to get made. ill post pics of the test fitment on my car in a new thread when i get the first finished piece. i havent seen anything like this made for our cars. im stoked!!!

Oh im game for this. I was thinking about pulling my metra kit out and painting it red anyway. CF would look so much better then paint.

Quick question. It will be pre cut for the double din already correct? I know when my metra kit came from crutchfield it had to be trimmed a bit for my eclipse avn-5510 to fit. Im not a big fan of cutting CF.

the head unit i am going to use for test fitment is the Panasonic CN-NVD905U Strada. i was going to look at the metra piece when i got it to see if there will be any way he can make 5 double din and 5 for single din for the first run. if not, they will all be double din. i totally agree with you. im not a fan of cutting carbon fiber aswell. thats why i dont have hood pins in my cf hood

 

yea dude. for the test fitment pictures, im going to have my dash look the way everyones dash looks so all of you can get an idea of how it would look in your car but after i take the pics, im going to paint all the smooth pieces on the drivers side of the dash body color (nhbp) i cant wait to see how its going to turn out!
