My input: a splitter style rather than a wrapped piece.

Flat finish carbon plate with a slight rise in the middle. Possible place for mounting winglets on the outer edges, similar to the J's GD lip.

If it followed the same lines as the 09 but with a little extra something along the out edges, I'd be very happy with that. I think that'd look best, especially with the middle not recessed in the bumper as it is now.

It would look cool when looking down on the piece too, because if I recall there is more of a recess there, revealing more of the top surface of the splitter than would be on the 09-11 model. More carbon fiber goodness. Places for y'all to put more stickers. I kid, I kid.

The recess is exactly what I'm talking about, and the part that bothers me most of the 2012 bumper. Even if it is designed exactly like the 09's, getting rid of the recess in the middle would be fantastic.

Something like this, maybe?

^ That'd be nice. I liked how the 09 lip did that:

The piece I'm specifically talking about is right under the lower grille:

See how it indents / recesses in the middle? Get rid of that and make it follow a curve with the rest of the bumper. It'd also be nice to add something to the corners as stated before, just to make it flow a bit better with the sideskirts.

Gotcha. So, just a smooth single line around the front edge. That's what I was originally thinking. Hard to visualize the front end without a good angled pic. That helps.

Exactly, that and I like your idea of the middle of the lip following the upper curve. Here's the best picture I have to describe both of these ideas:

I like how the 09 lip stuck out about an additional 1.5" as well, the same concept would look great on the 2012 bumper.

And as I said before, something a little extra on the sides of the bumper would be nice. Idk exactly what, but something just to accent it a bit.

New 2012 Sport owner checking in. Definitely will be purchasing this lip if it looks good. I do like the 09 version a lot so hopefully it will look similar.

I've been staring a bit more at the bumper and I came to this conclusion:
I think something like the 5axis front lip for the tC would look good on it. It's a bit like the lip made for the Fit base:

Size: 207.1 KB

Something that sits flush like that all the way around, and follows the body line in the center of the bumper. But, I don't think it should stick out as much as the base lip does:

Thoughts?

Lets not make it difficult

I think it should look like the 2011 lip. I like that there is some thickness to it and not just a flat plate. I also like that it wraps completely around and fills up the center section.

^ Basically idea number one haha.
I'm just throwing another suggestion out there, as I think the 2012 bumper has much potential for something a bit thicker. Either way, I'd be happy with whatever is released. It just needs something there.
