GI: GE motor mounts/engine torque damper
Trying to get a list going for people who would be interested in these.
I don't think there's any out there yet for the GE. I think theres a definite need for them to get a little extra GO from our Fits. I've contacted Boomba Racing about developing a product for us. They make mounts for the 8th and 9th gen civics which have been well received. Boomba Motor mount review (driver/passenger) - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum Boomba Mounts Review - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum No word on pricing yet. If the civic mounts pricing are any indication then we're somewhere near $200. Post up if you're interested and we'll start a list. 1. 07fit916 2. DoYouFit? 3. Fast1one 4. Count me in. Stock mounts suck!
I think the torque arm is the most important. Would be nice to have the option of purchasing this mount separately for those that are not mechanically inclined. Two different levels of stiffness (street and track) would also be on the wish list. |

Definitely interested... for an MT (I think the AT is different)
as I mentioned in the other thread, I was just going to buy an OEM set, and send it over to Innovative myself. Not familiar with Boomba, but it's all good. It's amazing how much this engine moves around... :vtec: |
That's very interesting. :-)
I don't have the ca$h right now but it's on my list for my GE8. Any clues about the tools needed to change that out? |
Regular hand tools, nothing special needed.

I work with Boomba pretty regularly. If they don't make the mounts, and there is enough interest, we will look into doing them. All we would need is about 10 people and we could knock them out in just a few weeks.
By we, I mean my company. Mitsubishi Evo | DSM | Subaru WRX/STI | BR-Z Parts Have been thinking about making them for awhile, but we are making some significant changes in the shop so its not a top priority. Will keep checking the progress on Boomba via this thread and go from there. Good work OP! |
if its that "easy" that i don't need to go to a mechanic and the buy-in isnt so bad, i'm in
|
I would definitely be in! I would be more interested in a street level stiffness though.
|
Thanks for the infos guys. Count me in for sure! How about shipping to Montreal, Canada? Maybe my local parts dealer can work something with them?

I would be absolutely down to buy a full set! Add me on there!
|
Please check this thread people!

Any news ?
:-) |
Well it might be a bust for innovative. I'm gonna hit up boomba again to see if 8 is enough to produce them
|
I hope they can do something for us... The bracket on my Takeda cold air intake just craked out because the engine is moving too much. lol I am waiting for the replacement part but i'm sure the problem won't be solved until I get new engine mounts.
|
What happened with Innovative? :(
|
I am in for the torque mount. :)
|
bump for news? :popc:
|
thought the innovative ones were going to be made. dunno what happened. i ended up just filling my rear mount...
