Question 2015-present Honda Fit Grille Delete?

Howdy y'all! I was wondering if there is any way to completely remove the front grille on my 2016 Honda Fit? I've been wanting to install a Spoon Sports air filter, and I want to remove the black plastic grille for better airflow. Thanks from Dallas, Texas!

The engine gets plenty of air the way it is. Removing the grille will not add any performance.

Front grill is attached to the front bumper. Removing the grill may affect aerodynamics and now you have a large hole pointing to your unprotected radiator.

Wouldn't the spoon air filter just be a drop-in into the stock airbox? You've got a front intake design already that feeds into the intake box. I think your better bet would be to source a sumole like this one: Sumole Ram Air Scooper

Yes the Spoon filter is a drop in design and uses the factory intake. It will work just fine. Hence why Spoon makes the drop in filter style to start with. They wouldn't bother if you needed to remove body parts just to have it function. lol

From the Honda Fit one make race series in Japan. The stock air box flows just fine as you can see.
