Winter's coming -- chains for a 2016 EX?

Anybody have an "easy to install" (no irony intended there!) brand of chains that will fit my 2016 well?

When I bought it, I was not even thinking about the chains I'd left in the trunk of my trade-in, and figured they'd be sure to fit that vehicle, and welcome to the new owners. Two months later, snow is in the forecast.

Chime in with what you think I should look for. I hate putting them on and have short arms, so the easy-on is imperative, next to having them actually work well at the job.

Thanks!

Make sure it's cables and not chains you want-I believe on prior models the stock tires only took cables. The ones I have from Les Schwab for my GE8 are reasonably easy to put on with gloves on. They have a how-to video on YouTube if you want to check it out before purchasing. Also if you don't open the bag you can return them at the end of snow season for a full refund.

What you want is low profile chains. You can get them on etrailer.com for about 30 bucks. I have a set. Ruined my 2015 oem rims, should have used them on steel wheels. I kept those rims for my 2017, and have dunlop wintermaxx tires on them. Only used the chains once, a bit of overkill. A good set of snow tires will do you better than chains. Chains are extreme need of traction, and they are a bitch to put on too. Also max is 30mph you can do with them, and even that is fast. Got through a rough ice storm with them up my 10% grade hill with them though!

Cheers

As it happens, I took an Uber the other day that was wearing "socks", which I had never heard of or seen before. They were these pieces of grippy fabric that wrap around the wheel, and add traction. As they abrade, they wear out, but according to my Uber driver they are way easier than chains/cables to take on and off, so you just replace them when they're through.
