2018 Fit Sport Performance Upgrades

My apologies if this thread is beating the proverbial dead horse. I had no idea that such a robust community existed for the fit until recently and searching has become overwhelming.I have a 2018 Sport CVT with the paddle shifters and want to get some more hp out of it. I'm already planning on putting on new wheels, brakes, coils, and sway bars. As far as engine mods go, are there any that you would suggest? I've heard that the CVT can get blown out by pushing things too far, but everything I read was from a few years ago. I want to get any input I can before I start modding or installing anything.

Suspension mods are a great starting point as the Fit responds well to them. You are not going to get big HP out of the Fit engine unless you add a turbo. Intake add's better throttle response and maybe a slight bump in power. Exhaust is going to add better sound. A Pedal Commander helps improve throttle response and drivabilty. Unless you add a Turbo the CVT should be fine.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I think the suspension mods are going to have the most immediate ROI. I drive through a windy, albeit, short canyon road every day on my way to and from work. Yeah staying away from a turbo is what I have been seeing. What about a Ktuner? But it's good to know that I can do the intake. I was hoping I could do that. I hadn't heard of the Pedal Commander, but it looks pretty cool and such a quick install!

Get a good set of tires too. My Fit was transformed with a set of dedicated summer tires.

2018 Fit is not listed on KTuner website. It's more useful (for the Fit) when adding a turbo and doing custom tuning though. They do show a dyno with a 12Hp increase over stock. EvilChargerFan has a pedal commander and likes it. I think he writes about it in his build thread if you want a review on it.

Ah ok gotcha! The pedal commander is relatively inexpensive so I am for sure going to give it a go. I'll check out his thread! Thank you again!

If you're interested in wasting money on intakes, I'll gladly sell ya my over priced weapon r intake, I'll even include ducting so you can scoop fresh air directly into said intake

Well I do like to waste my money! :D I might be interested in the semi-near future. I really want to do the suspension and tires first. Depending on the rain, hopefully I'm going to do window tinting this weekend.

AFAIK, 3rd gen CVT's haven't changed. Should be fine if you don't auto-X or race it.

I purchased a Pedal Commander and an AFE Takeda intake for my '18 Fit Sport (6 speed manual). I noticed immediately a difference in how it pulls and throttle response. I am please with how the car responds. I found that HKS recently came out with an exhaust that is compatible with the sport trim, https://www.hksusa.com/news/new-prod...onda-fit-sport, and that is on my list to purchase next. I have some Eibach lowering springs on the way and can't wait to see how those feel with the vehicle!

Of course, right after I buy the Tanabe Medallion that doesn't fit my bumper :)
