NO, you can't. How is this unclear?

Guessing you've never taken a long drive with kids? They've had kids fall out of the baggage door on Cessna aircraft while in-flight, so yeah, kids will be kids.

I can't help if your statement is unclear as I can certainly lower both rear seats from inside the Fit.

Yes, I have 2 kids and have taken several long trips with them.

Almost 7 yrs on OEM battery. Starts every time. To me - it's perfect. The lighter the battery, the less weight to haul around.
What do you mean the battery is too small for you? Do you use it as weight to work out?

I didn't notice last winter so much but this winter, every time it was below freezing, the wiper washer fluid lines would freeze up rendering it inoperable. And Ive tried different wiper fluids.

Very annoying when driving in slushy conditions.

Otherwise, still a fantastic little car.

Not sure why you worry about the size — it all has to do with how much is needed to start the car, run electrical stuff, etc. and the Fit's pretty efficient. I live in north-ish Canada and my OEM battery lasted 9 1/2 years (80k km) but start was "getting sluggish" @ -30C. Honda dealer insisted they had to do a diagnostic for $50 + $50 labour + $130 for battery. Picked up a new battery @ Canadian Tire for $125 and changed myself in less than 10 minutes.

ground clearance and shocks

I have a 2010 Sport Fit and my complaints are two: 1) that it is so low to the ground, the bottom of the front bumper scrapes on many things. I wish it were covered with rubber or some other kind of protectant. and 2) really needs better shock absorption...not sure if other shocks can be installed on it or not. Other than that I love it. Temp was -10 last week and it started immediately. I consistently get 34 mph (manual).

That’s impressive. I just bought my Fit used, so I’m assuming it had the original battery in which would be 8 years old now.
We had a quite a few -30C nights in Ottawa this year and the battery died every time.

The Sport has stiffer shocks than the others to give better handling; also has lower aspect 16" tires that give a stiffer ride than the standard 15s. Long term fuel for my '09 Sport 5-spd is around 6.5l/100km (43mpg) (worse in winter but better in summer) but I'm also in Canada so our cars get better gas mileage than in the US...LOL.

Are you using winter fluid? Ours is rated for -35 or -40 depending on brand and I've never had this issue.

Dislikes:
- Placement of the top mounts of the front struts
- Stock brake pedal feel (Motul Brake Fluid and SS brake lines)
- Stock suspension body roll (fixed with Swifts springs and Progress RSB)

You could always shoe horn a 51R Battery into it and get a lot more bang out of your battery.....I did that, just so I could play my radio longer while parked....lol

I got a 2013 so it was a process getting it in there.....but not THAT hard.....

I've heard the newer models have plenty of room to put one in.......

I love my Fit, but like others, I wish it was a little more firmly planted at highway speeds, I wish the steering was a bit firmer, and I wish it had a little more top-end power.

I wonder if upgrading the stock 15" wheels to 16" Sport wheels helps the highway feel?

I went from stock steel 15s to alloy 17s and it felt a little stiffer and more responsive.

That's good to hear. I was considering swapping out with OEM Sport wheels from the newer years.

It's funny how features some people dislike is exactly what other people like.

Don't forget that by switching to bigger and heavier wheels, you'll also lose MPG and power...

A nice addition, at least on the GE, is the rear progress sway bar.

The Fit is a light car with a shape that catches side winds easily.
Weight the car down with a few hundred pounds of bricks will help...but then you might have a problem getting it to 70 mph.
