I have the Dec 2006 issues and they do not say.

This was the read that made me pick mine from the sea of econo cars.

Sorry, no idea what the dealer technically paid for it;

They think very highly of the Fit calling it the best small car. There is some free info from them I posted up from them before;

Or if you are lazy (like me) here is the direct link! :)

holdback on Hondas I believe is only 2%

08 Sport M/T is MSRP 15,270, invoice 14,700 (or there abouts very close)
08 Sport A/T is MSRP 15,970-16,170 invoice 15,400 (ditto^^^)

you can also just pick up a consumer reports mag off the shelf for some really handy info.
Most if not all of this stuff is available for free with some searching on the net and here. mmmmmmmmmmmm....google....tasty....mmmmm:)

So if I paid $15,625 (includes the $635 that seems to be unavoidable) the dealer made $290 + any hold backs?

That would line up with what the sales person said. He said $300 is what they made off the sale

That's consistant with what I've read - I've seen several times (sorry,don't have citations) that the total profit on a Fit is ~$500, which pretty much lines up with what you'vve indicated if you include the holdback
