Water on the inside of the windows

Hey all. I bought my Fit over 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it.

I noticed last week that there was water drops (more than just condensation) on the inside of the windows. The temp had been pretty warm that day (for around here) and then quickly dropped later. Also, last night, I went to the gas station and noticed that there was frost on the inside of the 2 little back windows and the rear hatch window. Just wondering what to do. Thanks. :)

you can try and equalize the inside and outside temps and humidity more which would help out.

good luck:)

Condensation on the inside of your windows is perfectly normal when the day is warmer than the nites. Unless you live in the desert SW or on a mountain top there will always be enough moisture in the ambient air to condense when the temperature falls more than 15 deg F. Always. The further SE you go the more moisture you will find.

Ah ok. Good to know. I asked my local dealer today and the first thing they asked was whether or not I had water sitting in my mats. I had a bit...I empty them out every few days...they suggested to empty them out daily.

just crack your windows to let out the humidity inside the car.

And never ever leave your climate control on "recirculate". The lever should ALWAYS be to the right unless you are running Max AC.

Move to Florida, eh?

^^^ Sometimes I wonder why I dont live in the south! haha.

I did all those things you guys mentioned and made sure my mats were empty and I still had a little bit of frost (not as much though) on the inside of the back window and the 2 small windows. Its probably not a major issue...just never had this occur in any other car ive owned.

The car is excellent. We just had a snow storm last night and had no trouble driving home from a party. :)
