considering the type of truck I don't think any other passenger vehicle would have fared any better.

Double the mass that truck it hit is probably 4-6 times the mass of a fit. I say it held up pretty good.

Have to agree, I thought it would've looked much worse. As an aside, it's really no surprise. Big truck vs. small car, big truck will win every time. I'm sure my F-150 would also destroy my Fit in a head on.

Planes crash, yet I still fly. People get hit crossing the street, yet I still walk. People get mauled by bears, yet I still fly fish. Big trucks crush small cars, yet I still love my Fit
