GPS Unit Install
 

Well, I'm selling my '01 GTI and taking delivery of a Fit Sport at the end of May.

I just got a portable GPS unit for my birthday and I am going to mount it in the Fit when I get it. I just want to know, has anyone had any experience running power cables or anything else behind the dash or through the headliner or anything? We'll be mounting an extra power socket somewhere behind the dash to plug in the power cord for the unit, then more than likely mounting the unit somewhere on the left side of the dash (that's not definite yet). I've only been inside the Fit on my test drive, so I don't remember a lot about the interior. My brother and I have done this many times in many cars (most recently his S2000 with a Valentine radar detector), so we know what we're doing, but we always like to see what other people have done so we at least have a starting point.

Also, has anyone bought the nav. unit Honda offers for the Fit? If so, where do they mount it?
