Cleaning off Pollen.

I washed my car a couple days ago, and then yesterday I didnt drive at all. Then this morning to my discovery when going to work for the day, I see my car lightly covered in pollen. Is there anything you guys use to keep pollen off or wipe it down with?

I just wash it off once a week with a garden hose. I an uphill battle sadly.

Always been scared to use the Cali Duster because I'm afraid it'll leave scratches.

Say your car isn't freshly waxed, but clean. You have some contaminants on there and you use the Cali Duster. Won't that just brush the contaminants, scratching the clearcoat?

+1 A few months back my car was friggin yellow/green for about 4 weeks off and on. I'd just hose the car down since the pollen would be back the next day, so it was pointless to look into it any deeper.

Wash it off, do not wipe it off.

True, it's better to wash it off then wiping it to avoid scratching the paint.

Either that...or wait until it dews in the morning & wipe the pollin & dew off w/ micro-fiber towel!

Quick Detailer spray and a microfiber towel or CA Car Duster. I use both.

Firebat666 06-13-2008 12:37 AM

i just wash and wax obsessivley...

doctordoom 06-13-2008 05:12 AM

just let it marinate for a month and then clean it all up again. that's what i do haha. as long as i know my car's got a good coat of wax on it, i don't mind it being dirty. but bird poo is a big no-no 24/7.
